Internal Treatments

Here you will find articles about various Internal Treatments that I personally used to recover from MRSA

The Heal Your Gut Cookbook…GAPS made easy

The Heal Your Gut Cookbook: Nutrient-Dense Recipes for Intestinal Health Using the GAPS Diet List Price: $29.95 Price: $22.42 You Save: $7.53 If you didn’t know it already, I consider the KEY to my successful recovery from recurring MRSA infections to be DIET. To be specific, the that was instrumental in my recovery from recurrent MRSA infections was the Gut and Psychology Syndrome diet (GAPS). Tell me more about the GAPS diet? Strengthening your immune system and increasing your general health and well-being is the goal of the GAPS diet. Its all about healing your body from the inside out but you need to be aware that this process will take time depending on how sick you are. But the fact is that the results are worth it. A strong and healthy immune immune system will be able to fight off MRSA and other infections and illnesses, leaving you to carry on with your life. The only downside is that the diet can be restrictive and so knowing how to make tasty, nutrtious meals that are GAPS approved can be difficult without a cookbook. The good news is that a great new cookbook has just been released and its called The Heal Your Gut Cookbook Can’t I just stick to the recipes from the original GAPS book? You could…but they are simple, basic, and not overly appetizing. That is why I strongly suggest getting a great GAPS cookbook such as The Heal Your Gut Cookbook. The great thing about this book is that you don’t have to come up with your own recipes, nor are you limited to the recipes in the original GAPS... read more

However, if immune system is strong you will be able to fight off various infections and illnesses including MRSA, time and time again. Does the original GAPS book contain helpful recipes? Helpful, yes…appetizing, not so much. That is why I strongly suggest getting a great GAPS cookbook such as Internal Bliss. The beauty of Internal Bliss is that you don’t have to come up with your own recipes, nor are you limited to the basic (but effective) recipes in the GAPS book. With Internal Bliss all the recipes are done for you and they are not only healthy but they are appetizing. Heal yourself from the inside out with the GAPS diet

Gut and Psychology Syndrome: Natural Treatment for Autism, Dyspraxia, A.D.D., Dyslexia, A.D.H.D., Depression, Schizophrenia List Price: $32.95 Price: $25.40 You Save: $7.55 The most important part of my recovery from recurring MRSA infections was DIET, specifically the Gut and Psychology Syndrome diet (GAPS). I’ve never heard of the GAPS diet…what’s it all about? This very healthy diet is all about healing your body from the inside out and strengthening your immune system and it takes time depending on how sick you are. Once your immune system is strong, you will be able to fight off MRSA again and again before infection takes hold. If you are really ill, the book suggests that you take your diet right back to broths. Depending on how weak your immune system is, this may or may not be required. Personally I just went to the next stage which involved removing a stack of “unhelpful” foods from my diet and adding others such as Organic raw milk, Sauerkraut, and other Probiotic rich foods. As your body heals, you can begin to add back in some of the foods that are removed at the start of the diet. BUT…you should only add in foods that are healthy and will be beneficial to you. Don’t add back “treats” just because you want to. I’m not saying you can’t have the occasional treat, but don’t make it a regular thing and avoid adding back treats until you have recovered. How long should I do the GAPS diet for? It is a lifestyle choice that you have to make. It is a healthy, healing diet but many people will find... read more

Nature’s secret weapon against MRSA…Manuka Honey

Comvita UMF 18+ Manuka Honey 250g List Price: $132.85 Price: $132.85 You Save: N/A Honey has been used for thousands of years to clean wounds and fight bacteria. However, with the emergence of modern medicines, honey, like many “old school” treatments have been all but forgotten about until recently. As the “superbug” issue continues to grow at an alarming rate, more and more people, including leading medical researchers, are looking at the “old school alternatives” once again. Hold the phone…are you telling me that honey isn’t just good on toast? That’s exactly what I’m saying… Recent studies, including one done by the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in Australia, have shown that Manuka honey used topically on wounds, is not only effective against bacteria, but when used in conjunction with modern antibiotics, prevents the bacteria from developing a resistance to the antibiotics being used. That is absolutely spectacular and great news for MRSA sufferers, whether they are suffering from infected wounds, boils, or both! In fact, Professor Liz Harry of the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), in Australia who is stated that “Manuka honey should be used as a first resort for wound treatment, rather than the last resort, as it so often is.” In the United Kingdom, the National Health Service (NHS) has approved Manuka Honey to be used in wound dressings. So what is so good about it? Manuka honey has an antibacterial component that sets it apart from other honeys. This activity is stable and doesn’t lose its potency when exposed to dilution, heat or light. Manuka honey has been found to be effective against a... read more

Probiotics…Support your immune system with some good bacteria.

Hyperbiotics PRO-15 Probiotics - 60 Daily Time Release Pearls - 15x More Effective than Probiotic Capsules with Patented Delivery Technology - Easy to Swallow Probiotic Supplement List Price: $24.95 Price: $24.95 You Save: N/A Probiotics are live bacteria that strengthen your immune system by augmenting the intestinal microbial population (the “good” bacteria in your gut). I’m not sure if you are aware of this or not but pharmaceutical drugs such as antibiotics kill both the “good” bacteria and the “bad” bacteria in your gut. This is bad because your immune system is strengthened by the presence of the “good” bacteria and once they have been killed by the antibiotics, you are at greater risk of either reinfection or other illnesses. Why should I supplement with Probiotics and how will I benefit? To maximize immune system strength and function, you need to have a high intake of probiotics in your diet. Probiotics are a “must have” as they will keep topping up the levels of “good” bacteria in your gut, increasing the strength of your immune system. Because a healthy and strong immune system is absolutely necessary if you want to fully recover from MRSA, probiotics should be an important part of your recovery strategy. This is especially important if you are currently on antibiotics or other pharmaceutical medicines to reduce the negative effect of these drugs on your immune strength. Can I get Probiotics from foods or do I need to take a supplement? There are a stack of foods that are high in Probiotics and as you would expect, they are great for strengthening your immune system. Raw sauerkraut and raw... read more

Allicin products…is all the hype justified?

Do you, or someone close to you suffer from an MRSA infection? If so, there is light at the end of the tunnel… Allicin is the active ingredient in garlic, and due to its ability to kill MRSA (Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus) and a multitude of other bacterium and virus’, it has the scientists who have been working on an effective treatment for MRSA very excited! In the past, Allicin has been unstable, meaning that it quickly became impotent and ineffective. However, with technological advances over the last few years, scientists are now able to extract and stabilize Allicin. Allicin International Limited, a UK based company, is the leader in this field and they produce high quality Allicin products with high potency. Their US based “sister” company Allimax International Limited, offers the same high quality, high potency Allicin products, albeit with slightly different packaging. When dealing with a serious bacterial or viral infection, you will want to use their Allimed range which has the highest mg of Allicin per capsule. If you can’t source the Allimed range (it can be difficult), you can use their “standard” 180mg range, you will just need to take more of the capsules For example, instead of taking 2 of the 450mg Allicin capsules, you need to take 5 of the 180mg Allicin capsules. Personally, during my own battle with MRSA, I had success with every one of their products which I tried, and I would highly recommend them to anyone suffering from MRSA. So…lets take a look at what’s on offer… Allimed Capsules (450mg) Allicin Capsules (180mg) Allicin Cream (50ml) Allimed Gel Allimed Liquid (8oz) All... read more

Vitamin C…boost your immune system to combat MRSA!

Vitamin C is a household name when it comes to general well-being and immune support and I believe it plays an important role in a successful recovery from an MRSA infection. Vitamin C is an essential nutrient for both humans and animals alike. Most animals produce their own Vitamin C however there are a few exceptions and unfortunately, humans are one of those exceptions. As such, we have to get our Vitamin C from our diet. As Vitamin C can’t be stored within the body, it needs to make a regular appearance in our meals. To do this we need to choose items that are high in Vitamin C such as Blackcurrants, Parsley, Chilli Peppers, and Broccoli. If we do not ingest and subsequently absorb a sufficient amount of Vitamin C various issues can arise including lowered immune function, a reduction in collagen production, and disease such as scurvy. What’s so good about it? Vitamin C is required for multiple bodily functions including Collagen production. It is also a well known antioxidant meaning that it helps to remove the free radicals from the body that damage healthy tissues and cause disease. It is also known to actively support the immune system, helps with wound healing, and aids in iron absorption. Is it safe and are there any side effects? Vitamin C is considered non-toxic, safe, and there are no... read more
